This page explains details of the image and time synchronization used in our camera implementation.
The main goal is that all processed images have a system wide defined timestamp so that every process is aware of the exact time the image was triggered. This enables the filters on the IMU to work much more precisely and efficiently.

The visualization gives you a 3D representation of
* Position and attitude of the raw vision estimate
* Best filtered estimate of position based on vision
* Best estimate of attitude based on IMU
* Waypoints: distinguishing between active, autocontinue = true, autocontinue = false
* Control setpoint

FIXME This will describe the setup of Ubuntu 10.04 32bit for headless start on the helicopter. First step is to install Ubuntu following the instructions in Installation on Ubuntu. Do not install any GUI specific stuff (QGroundControl and it's dependencies, Eclipse etc.). Checkout mavlink and ai_vision and compile a release build of the software.
